Proposal of an LJ Fandom Convention [05 Jul 2006|07:34pm]

quasi_hayley
I'm gauging interest in a multi-fandom convention aimed at Livejournal users to be held in 2008 in the UK. It'll be a great opportunity to meet your f-list and perhaps find a few new friends to add. I've set up a poll in my journal for people to express whether or not they're interested and in what. You can fill it in here. There's also a community set-up for even more polls so that people who want to attend can give their input. You can visit it at eljayuk.

Crossposted around so apologies if you see it more than once which you're likely to if you're in more than one fandom!

POETRY NIGHT... [15 Jan 2003|04:43pm]

surreylass
I am thinking of organising an 'open mic poetry night' somewhere in guildford just for the hell of it. A bit like karaoke without music. There would be a small entry fee (a couple of quid) just to cover hiring out the place and stuff. I've never done it before but due to my tremendous blagging skills, I can probably get a few 'real' poets to come along and judge. Possibly a competition? Who would be interested? Any ideas?
